A finger supposedly from the “Pangboche hand” that the explorer Peter Byrne smuggled out from a monastery in Nepal has been the subject of scientific study by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. The experiment was to examine the DNA of the finger to determine if it was a Yeti finger, like the monks originally claimed. The results are set to be announced on a special BBC Radio 4 program later today (27/12/2011).
